This reminds me of the men you see in supermarkets who have to ring home to their wife to find out which aisle the potatoes are in. A constant need to be in touch has got to be unhealthy. It is like text messaging but on a PC, instant messaging has been around for a while. I had an Aunt once who had to tell me in minute detail what she had been doing all day ( she was my Aunt so I listened) For many others I would have to say a big ( talk to the hand)
Are librarians going the way of endangered animals, up into the ether? Will we be a distant memory? Ancient ones,guardians and guides to ideas big and small who changed their twin sets and pearls for skate boards and mp3s then morphed themselves out of existence? or are we becoming.... Web 2.0 and 2.1 explorations
